No stranger to both sides of the camera, Leighann brings the wisdom of a mover to dance and movement based films in various capacities. It makes such a big difference to have a living breathing human on the other side of the recording device!

Dance Films

Collaborating together on an idea, or bringing another artist’s vision to life with dance on film. Raw video, or full circle capture, edit and deliver. From 3 minute short clips to entire evening-length concerts, live streams and immersive captures. Leighann has multiple awards and recognitions for various dance on film projects.

Whether it’s a trailer/teaser for a new piece, a teaching or choreographic reel, a new studio, location or project reveal, or an upcoming performance, tour or project promotion, these photo and video assets are meant to highlight skills, capture essence, and give the viewer a taste of the experience.

Birdhouse is a New York based dance improvisation collaborative that spent a little more than a week in residence at Pillowfort Arts Center in Andes, NY to live, work, play and explore together, with the community, ahead of a presentation.

Documentation

Capturing artistic process, attending residency projects, and witnessing works-in-progress - documenting them in various ways. Sometimes creating photo stories for later use, sometimes creating films, sometimes it's to document the culminating performance element, and sometimes it's some combination of those things.
